Bass Farms Maintaining Quality Control Saving Customer Cost
One of the most powerful reasons to support locally produced products is the impact it provides within the community and small businesses. Bass Farms produces every single product that is offered for purchase. Why?

All Bass Farms products are made by hand on our property in rural Shelbyville, Indiana, where we built a large facility specifically to create, mix, bottle, package and ship directly from us. We supervise everything that comes in and ships out!
Efficient Production: Small-scale, in-house operations are more efficient in terms of energy usage and resources.
Quality Control and Freshness: Bass Farms has an intimate understanding of our ingredients which impacts the every decision on the final product. Our products are made in smaller batches insuring freshness without the use of artificial preservations, making your product healthier and more sustainable!

Competitive Prices without Compromising Quality: Bass Farms offers more competitive, affordable prices than large-scale manufacturing corporations
- No Middleman: When products are made locally in-house, there’s no need for a third-party distributor. Many large companies rely on middlemen to get their products to market, which can drives up costs. We sell directly to customers through our online store and local shops. This direct-to-consumer model helps keep prices affordable, yet still offer the amazing quality of ingredients.
- Efficient Production: Bass Farms' smaller production runs mean lower overhead costs. Without the need for massive manufacturing facilities or huge teams, our smaller scale production allows us to offer competitive prices without sacrificing quality.
- Local Economy Support: When you buy locally, you’re helping to sustain small businesses within your community. Small businesses often work on tight margins which means prices are usually more aligned with what customers can reasonably afford. The goal is to build long-term relationships with customers—not just profit in the short term.
When production stays in-house and local it directly contributes to the economic health of our community
- Job Creation: Local production means local jobs. By supporting these businesses, you’re helping create and sustain employment in your area, whether it’s for the artisans themselves or the people who help with packaging, marketing, or shipping.
-
Community Growth: Small businesses often give back to their communities in other ways, like sponsoring events, donating to charity, or providing local jobs. Keeping production local keeps money circulating within the community, helping everyone thrive.
